These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Hidden Lane Journeys website and our travel planning services.

Role of Hidden Lane Journeys

Hidden Lane Journeys provides professional travel advisory, planning, coordination, and booking-management services.

We act as an advisor, coordinator, and advocate for arrangements booked or managed through Hidden Lane Journeys. Travel services are provided by independent airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, and other suppliers. Hidden Lane Journeys does not own, operate, or control those suppliers and cannot guarantee any particular supplier response or outcome.

Professional fees

Professional fees are established separately for each engagement and confirmed in a written Scope of Engagement or other trip-specific document.

Planning fees compensate Hidden Lane Journeys for custom research, itinerary design, evaluation, coordination, booking management, and related work within the agreed scope. Limited stand-alone services may carry separate booking fees.

Applicable fees are disclosed before work begins. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, planning fees are due before substantive planning work begins and are non-refundable once that work has commenced.

Reasonable refinement within the agreed scope is included. Significant changes to destinations, dates, traveler count, trip length, complexity, or overall objectives may require a revised scope and additional fee. Hidden Lane Journeys will discuss any such change and provide a revised quote before substantial additional work proceeds.

Supplier compensation

Hidden Lane Journeys may receive commissions or other compensation from suppliers for reservations we manage. Supplier compensation is separate from any planning fee and does not determine whether a planning fee applies.

Recommendations are based on traveler fit, overall value, terms, flexibility, and the integrity of the trip. Hidden Lane Journeys may recommend options that pay little or no commission or select a booking channel that provides lower compensation when it better serves the traveler.

Travel support

Hidden Lane Journeys provides support for arrangements booked or managed through us. If an urgent issue arises, we will respond, communicate with the relevant supplier, and advocate on the traveler’s behalf.

Suppliers retain responsibility for delivering the purchased travel services and determining available changes, refunds, credits, accommodations, or other remedies. Hidden Lane Journeys cannot guarantee a particular result.

Traveler-booked arrangements

The traveler remains responsible for reservations made independently, including payment, confirmation, changes, cancellations, documentation, and assistance required before or during travel.

Changes and cancellations

Supplier terms and conditions—including cancellation policies, change fees, payment deadlines, and refund eligibility—apply to all bookings. Hidden Lane Journeys is not responsible for penalties or decisions imposed by suppliers but will assist with arrangements booked through us.

Travel suppliers and risks

Travel involves inherent risks, including delays, cancellations, health issues, weather events, and other circumstances beyond our control. While we assist in planning and coordination, responsibility for travel services rests with the suppliers providing them.

Intellectual property & photography

All content on this website, including text and original photography, is the property of Hidden Lane Journeys unless otherwise noted. Licensed or royalty-free imagery is used where appropriate. Content may not be copied or reused without written permission.

Governing law
