Meet the Founders


Molly and Bill McDowell, CTA, have spent decades traveling independently, drawn to the texture of daily life, the cultural context that gives a place meaning, and the difference between seeing more and understanding more.


Molly leads the client experience at Hidden Lane Journeys. Her background in nonprofit fundraising, development, and community engagement has centered on listening closely, earning trust, and building lasting relationships. She guides each relationship from the first conversation through the trip itself and the reflections that follow.


Bill supports the planning process through research and itinerary design. More than 30 years in editorial leadership and content strategy have sharpened his ability to synthesize complex information, weigh trade-offs, and shape a clear, coherent plan. Bill is a Certified Travel Associate by The Travel Institute. 


Together, they approach each trip with curiosity and sound judgment, making room for the rhythms of daily life and for a place to reveal itself over time.
